"Education meets space"

Webinars

Pedagogy and space interact in many aspects of daycare centers, so ideally, spatial design and redesign should be accompanied by a pedagogical development process. For many years, we have been cooperating with Ressourcenwerkstatt, a continuing education provider for educational professionals.

For our joint webinar, we have chosen a topic that is very close to our hearts and those of the Ressourcenwerkstatt: open working is now a well-known and increasingly used concept in daycare centers. It is characterized by both spatial and educational considerations that are geared towards the needs of children and make them active participants in their own education and development process. Educational and teaching plans also generally focus on learning workshop activities and project-based work, which are closely linked to the concept. However, there are a number of other professional considerations behind this. We have therefore developed this webinar to give you a multi-perspective insight into the educational principles and spatial implementation options. Three sub-topics will be covered:

The first topic, "We know our way around here and feel comfortable," deals with the well-being of children and asks how this can be taken into account and ensured in open facilities.

The second topic, "Education and development in open work," deals with the question of what and how one can learn in open work and support children on their way to independence and co-determination.

The third topic, "First steps in open work," focuses on the beginnings of learning workshop work and provides answers on how educational and spatial adjustments can be made in the first steps of implementing the concept.

Duration: approx. 60 min. plus time for questions and discussion

Participation in the webinar is free of charge. Your registration does not entail any obligations.

Always great ideas and food for thought. Even if we won't have the big installations in the daycare center at some point, the little things also have a big impact. It always comes down to attitude, and we speak the same language :)
