Consulting and planning
- We would like a catalog display stand, but we need a different size—is that possible?
Adjustments can be made at any time. Of course, the cost of the adjustments depends on the desired specifications and additional costs may be incurred. In any case, we will provide you with a quote for the necessary scope of adjustment work.
- How often can you change a plan, and are there any costs involved?
Plans can be changed as often as the customer wishes. When preparing a quote, an hourly quota is set in advance for the agreed service. If this proves insufficient due to change requests, we inform the customer at an early stage so that they can decide whether further changes are desired or necessary.
- Are there also planning costs for catalog pedestals?
For catalog pedestals, there may be minor planning costs for reviewing the plans.
- Which cost group do permanently installed platforms and play areas fall under?
There is no specific cost group in DIN 276 for permanently installed platform structures in interior areas. These elements would normally be assigned to cost group 340, "Interior walls, including columns." Cost group 340 covers all non-load-bearing interior walls and columns in a building. Permanently installed platforms and play areas in interior spaces fall into this category, as they are considered an integral part of the interior design. It is important to note:
- This classification only applies to permanently installed elements.
- Movable or loose furnishings would instead be assigned to cost group 600, "Furnishings and works of art."
- The exact classification may vary depending on the specific project and function of the platform landscape.
When calculating the costs for a building with integrated platform landscapes, these elements should therefore be recorded and calculated in cost group 340 in order to ensure a detailed and standardized cost breakdown in accordance with the DIN 276 standard.
- How binding is a cost estimate?
A cost estimate is non-binding and serves as a guide. It is based on assumptions and rough calculations that can be adjusted during the course of a project.
- Which Kameleon Raumkonzepte services are subject to a fee and which are free of charge?
Our initial consultations are always free of charge. The same applies to our free webinars, which we offer regularly on various interior design topics. Chargeable services only arise after a prior quote and after you have placed your order, and are billed according to the actual time and work involved.
- Is Kameleon prequalified?
Yes, we are prequalified (registration number: 010.149310) and look forward to being invited to participate in your tendering process.
- What does service phase 0 or basic evaluation mean?
Service phase 0, also known as basic evaluation, covers the preparatory work for a construction project. This is where the basic requirements and framework conditions are determined, project goals are defined, and initial feasibility studies are carried out. This phase forms the basis for all further planning and decisions in the course of the project.
- Kameleon planned the interior design and drew up the tender documents—should Kameleon be excluded from the tender process?
No, you do not necessarily have to exclude Kameleon from the tender process under VOB. However, there are some rules and regulations that must be observed in order to avoid conflicts of interest and ensure transparency and fairness in the tendering process. It is advisable to review the specific provisions of VOB and, if necessary, seek legal advice to ensure that all regulations are complied with.
- What planning and consulting services can Kameleon Raumkonzepte offer?
In the field of educational interior design and interior construction, Kameleon offers everything from basic evaluation (service phase 0) to training courses and workshops (service phase 10) on request. In addition, we can implement all planned custom-made products in our own specialist workshops. Acoustic solutions are also individually planned by our own specialist department and offered independently of manufacturers.
- Can Kameleon Raumkonzepte create a manufacturer-independent service description?
Yes, that is possible. All products that can be manufactured by a carpenter/joiner can be presented by us in the form of a detailed service description. The planning and production costs required for this are calculated based on the time required.
